| It's amazing that if some one had told me when I was delivering milk Door to Door in Shirebrook on a horse and cart that in 40 yrs time I would be 3000 miles away and sending photos and messages through a Computer and Tv Cable and Phone Lines, I would have laughed at them. I have scanned a few old photos I have from Shirebrook. I usually get back over once a year to visit family in England and Scotland. Last year I drove down from Scotland to pick up my son who had been staying in England for a few days and came to Shirebrook on the day of a big festival with pipe bands etc at the Leisure Centre. I had a walk round but I didn't recognise anyone I knew so only stayed for about half an hour |

"Players" is of myself with David Addlington and Jimmy White at Brookfield Junior School "Carter" is photo of my brother Colin at Carter Lane School with the football team "Tower" is at Shirebrook Grammar School around 1962,63 "Family" is at the old football shelter at the now Staff club, it is of my Grand Mother , Mam, Dad, Uncle, Brother Keith and myself, don't know what the occasion was "Tents" is again at the old football ground with Grand Mother , Mam, Auntie & Cousin ( I think ) and Brother Keith. again I dont know what the occasion was where is the sign post located that you show on the website,I'd forgotten that the pubs in Scarcliffe actually had names, I always knew them as the top pub or the bottom pub |

| Just going through some photo albums and came accross this one of me and my kids Karen,Lee and David outside the old Empire. we had it taken a couple of years ago after we had seen the Full Monty film. The film did show a scene outside the Empire didn't it, if not we're right charlies Regards Dave G |
